Emilie Fortin, Physiotherapist

Émilie Fortin, PT, completed her Master’s degree in physiotherapy at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Sciences from McGill University. Throughout her academic journey, Emilie gained experience by working with diverse clientele from all ages in musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiorespiratory domains. She expanded her knowledge through various settings across Quebec and even in Brazil, including private clinics (i.e. sport and general injuries, chronic pain), hospitals (i.e. post-surgical, ICU) and rehabilitation units (i.e. post-stroke). She is also conducting research on nature-based interventions with diverse populations, including those dealing with chronic pain and degenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s.

Émilie places her clients at the center of her practice, aiming to help them achieve their goals. She adopts a humane and holistic approach, viewing the client as a whole rather than merely addressing an injury. Her primary objective is to empower the client by accompanying them throughout this process, tailoring support based on the stage of their condition. Émilie is meticulous, employs an evidence-based approach, is consistently learning, and strives to enhance the overall quality of life of her clients.
